What to do right now

  • If it's safe, shut off the water at the main valve
  • Turn off power to wet areas at the breaker – never stand in water to do it
  • Move valuables, papers and electronics off wet floors
  • Take photos and video before anything is moved
  • Stay away from sewage and don't run fixtures that are backing up
  • Call us – and your insurance company – as soon as you can

Don't wait it out

Wet drywall, insulation and flooring hold water you can't see. The longer they stay wet, the more has to be removed and the higher the risk of mold. Early mitigation is the single biggest thing you can do to limit the damage.

After a storm

If wind or a fallen limb opened your roof or walls, we can tarp and board up to stop more water getting in, then dry and repair the inside.

Our process

Five steps, every job

Video assessment

Call us and we can start with a live video call. A Home Rescue pro looks at the damage with you right away and tells you what to do first.

On-site response

We come out, find and stop the source, and start water extraction and mitigation to keep the damage from spreading.

Detailed documentation

We photograph and video every affected area, take moisture readings, and capture the space with 3D documentation so nothing gets missed.

Line-item estimate

We write an itemized, insurance-format estimate – room by room, line by line – that you and your adjuster can review.

Clear communication

We review the estimate with you and answer your adjuster's questions about our scope, then dry, repair and restore your home.

Sewage backup?

We fix the cause, not just the mess

If a sewer line problem caused the backup, our sewer team can camera-inspect the line and repair or replace it – with 0% financing options for the part insurance won't cover.*

Water damage FAQ

How fast does water damage get worse?

Quickly. Water wicks into drywall, flooring and framing within hours, and mold can begin to grow within 24–48 hours in damp conditions. Starting extraction and drying early limits how much has to be torn out.

Is it safe to stay in my home?

Often yes, but not always. Stay out of rooms with standing water near outlets or appliances, sagging ceilings, or sewage. When in doubt, call us and we'll walk you through it.

What is a Category 3 (sewage) loss?

Water from a sewer backup or outside flooding is treated as contaminated. Porous materials it touched – carpet, pad, drywall, insulation – are usually removed and bagged, and the area is cleaned and treated before drying.

Do you do the repairs too, or just the drying?

Both. After mitigation and drying we can rebuild what was removed – drywall, flooring, trim, cabinets and paint – so one company sees the job through.

Can you help with my insurance claim?

We document the damage, write a line-item estimate, and answer your adjuster's questions about our work. You stay in control of your claim. See how we work with insurance.
